Incoming Music Majors and Minors
Dear Fellow Incoming Freshman aren't you interested in joining Mu Phi Epsilon?!
Requirements to be Initiated to Mu Phi Epsilon Epsilon Sigma Collegiate Chapter at Pacific Lutheran University
1. You have to be a declared Music Major or Minor. Please talk to Professor David Robbins (Chair of the Music Department) about declaring your music major. He is also a fellow Mu Phi.
2. You have to complete Theory 1.
3. You have to maintain a GPA of 3.5 or better in your Music classes or a GPA of 2.5 or better in your GUR (General University Requirement) classes.
4. You have a volunteering spirit and the enthusiasm for
MUSIC,
HARMONY and
FRIENDSHIP.
» If you qualify for all four requirements then you are the best candidate for initiation and ready to be a part of an honorary music fraternity that will provide you with musicians and opportunities to perform and educate people in music.
» Don't hesitate to come to meetings prior to your initiation!! You may still participate in activities as candidates for Initiation. I suggest that you take advantage of the performance opportunities.
» Our meetings will be held once every two weeks in MBR 116 (Music Ed Room) it is right next to Dr.Svend Ronning's Studio. The meetings are 45 minutes long 5:15~6pm on Thursdays.
