Amanda Brasgalla ‘15

Public Relations

 

Amanda is a double major in German and communication with an emphasis in conflict and global peace–building. She was invited to MediaLab in the fall of 2012 and her interests include public relations, journalism and event planning. Amanda is employed at the PLU Admissions Office as a tour guide for prospective students. Her future aspirations include working for businesses or organizations focused on global cooperation.

Cassady Coulter ‘14

Public Relations

 

Cassady, a communication major with an emphasis in journalism and a psychology minor, was accepted into MediaLab in May of 2012. Cassady’s primary interests are writing for mass communication, public relations and event planning. An internship in PLU’s Office of Admission since the Fall of 2011 has confirmed Cassady’s desire to work with people and increased her ambition to work in the communication industry. Working as a marketing and communications intern with the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in the summer of 2012 reconfirmed her interest in working in a fast–paced environment where she can showcase her writing ability and work with people as well.

Alex Devine ‘15

Public Relations

 

Alex is a communication major with an emphasis in public relations and advertising. Accepted to MediaLab December 2012, Alex plans to utilize her deep–rooted love of people and advocacy by exploring her talents in all aspects of the media industry. Alex also serves as a tour guide to prospective students through PLU’s Office of Admission.

Kjarista (Kj) Inch ‘13

Public Relations

 

A communication major with a concentration in public relations and advertising, Kj joined MediaLab in May of 2012. Kj, serving as a member of MediaLab’s public relations team, has worked with the Korean Women’s Association, produced a promotional video for “Find an Hour,” a local tutoring program, and will be overseeing the premiere of MediaLab’s newest documentary premiere in April 2013. In addition to academics, she is also balancing an internship at the Tacoma–Pierce County Chamber of Commerce as a membership outreach and marketing intern where her main focus is working on events. In her free time, Kj’s interests include artwork, photography and cheering for a semi–professional football team in the Seattle–Tacoma area. Upon graduation, Kj plans to continue working in some form of art and event planning.

Birgitte Maeland ‘13

Public Relations

 

Birgitte is a communication major with a minor in business marketing. Her interests include public relations, advertising, marketing and fashion. Through MediaLab, Birgitte has composed testimonial pieces for the Korean Women’s Association’s 40th anniversary event, as well as assist in the production of a promotional video for Cascade Regional Blood Services. A native Norwegian, Birgitte came to Washington state in 2009 to attend school.

Emilie Thoreson ‘15

Public Relations

 

Emilie joined the MediaLab team in the spring of 2012 and is pursuing a double major in religion and communication with an emphasis in journalism. She assists with the advertising duties of her residence hall on campus and serves as a tour guide for prospective students through PLU’s Office of Admissions. A member of the MediaLab public relations team, Emilie loves working closely with the Korean Women’s Association and is interested in working for another non–profit upon graduation.
